Didn't use helium. I used my air pump, I feel like the helium would have died quicker. It's been 2 months and I still have these balls. If you're using a pump, you can always go back and refill the tank. It was a great addition to my son's party. He liked it, he is 3 years old. All I have to say is make sure you have some good tape if you plan to tape it to the floor and when you fill it in make sure you do it slowly so it doesn't bursts. Elmo has different sections, so be careful not to overflow. If it starts to go flat you can always go back and charge. It was amazing for the price and more than my little one. Ideal for pictures for the little ones. My family rearranged the table and photographed the characters with their phones and polaroids. We will always have these memories. Definitely a buy recommendation. It was a great edition.
