I've never used one of these before but it was very easy to figure out. The movement is similar to rollerblading in that you push your feet to the side to create friction for propulsion. Your feet never need to touch the ground after the initial kick to get started. It's probably best used in a large open space as there can be quite a bit of side-to-side movement that could take up much of a narrow path. You can't get it going nearly as fast as a regular kick scooter so kids may not enjoy it as much. Overall, it's a fun twist on a typical scooter.-Build quality is good. It's an all metal construction and feels solid.-Folding/unfolding is a bit clunkier than it needs to be. You need to unscrew the bolts to fold as opposed to scooters that have a quick-release latch. You also need a way to tie it together once folded. Included is a velcro strap but this is a free-floating piece that is bound to get lost. A way to lock it in the folded position would have been helpful.-The hand brake works well.-The LED's on the wheels are an appealing touch for kids. They are only faintly visible in sunlight though.
