Just what I needed for an 11 1/2" deep by 26" interior width, 3-shelf bookcase in my sewing/craft room, with two cubes placed per shelf. These 12 x 12 x 12 cubes are nice-looking, roomy, and sturdy. The sides with the handles are stiff and hold their shape well, in part, I think, because of the stabilizing effect of the handles themselves. Although I wouldn't recommend carrying heavy items in them without also holding them at the bottom, they easily hold heavy items on a shelf, keeping those items from view. One of mine holds two irons and a number of heavy spray cans, and I can pull it out just a bit, supporting the bottom, to retrieve an iron without needing to pull the whole cube out. Unlike the less expensive, lightly stiffened fabric cubes, which I had been using previously, these are not going to lose their shape anytime soon. Well worth the money.
