I was hesitant to order shoes online as of course I couldn't try them on until they arrived. However, I am very glad that I took the plunge and ordered them. I ordered the women's 8 1/2 wide and they fit perfectly. They arrived in good condition with good packaging and appear to be quite well made. Although I've never owned this type of shoe (with springs in the sole) it didn't take me long to get used to it or feel comfortable in it. What I like is that I notice a difference to other good walking shoes I have - they definitely have a more "cushioned" feel when walking. The ground/floor/paving isn't as hard on the soles of my feet, and it puts less strain on my legs, hips, and back. All people are different and have different needs. However, if you plan to spend your hard-earned money on a good hiking shoe and want good support and a light ride, I recommend these shoes. I've only had them for two weeks so I don't know how well they're holding up. However, I can tell you that I find the money worth it if I have to buy a new pair every year. I've had back surgery and have bars and pins in my back, in addition to moderate to severe spinal arthritis, so having shoes that take the strain off my back and legs is enough to make me cry with joy. I wish they were made in the USA - they are not - and hope the good quality of the product continues.
