Review on High-performance MikroTik RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN: Unleash Amazing Speed and Connectivity by Daryl Barton

very powerful in routers

I've spent several frustrating hours reading reviews of dozens of routers on Revain. They all seemed to have some level of trouble that I didn't want. Then I read a review from a dissatisfied router buyer who said they would return it and check out MikroTik. This piqued my curiosity and I did some research and didn't find any customer reviews but a few professional reviews and they were all very positive so I gritted my teeth and ordered one. cable and power supply. It's meant to be mounted vertically, bolted to the wall with the brackets provided, but I didn't get them and didn't need them, so no problem. I ripped the cables out of the Asus router which was driving me insane and connected the modem to ch1 and the other LAN cables to 6, 7, 8 and 9 of the 10 available LAN ports. Now the most interesting. I turned it on and immediately saw the normal flashing green lights indicating data was being transferred so I went to my computer on the LAN but it showed no network connection. I went and looked at the router again, made sure I had the wires properly plugged into the ports, then checked the manual. Everything should have been fine. I went back to the computer and now I was online but no internet. Asus router shades are here. I returned to the router and reset the modem, returned to the computer, now I'm online. The speed test showed me that I was back to my usual 230 megabytes. Now it's time to set it up for WiFi. The manual listed the router's IP address and I logged in and set the old network name and used the same password so I didn't have to reprogram all the devices in my house. I got to a point where the Asus router continued to work but couldn't connect to the internet. Meanwhile, I noticed that a device's signal strength graph (identified only by its MAC number) was increasing, and when it reached its maximum, it told me what that device's signal strength was. Then it started with something else. I went around all my devices and turned them on, only one worked at first. One by one, all the devices turned on. The system seems to learn as it is used. I checked my laptop in the living room. 3 Mbps is very disappointing. As I was looking at the Wi-Fi settings, I noticed a few different ones from some of the repeaters I had in the room. I turned it off and now I was down to 60mb/s. The first device to turn on was Alexa in my workshop, so I turned it off and moved it to the other side of the house where I never had a Wi-Fi signal no matter how many repeaters I had. It worked. The longer I left the devices on, the better they worked. It's like the router is learning where to concentrate the signal. When I tell you my house is 7,000 square feet and I have a very strong signal everywhere, you will understand how impressive this invisible device is. You do not need meshes, repeaters or even an access point. I have to say that this thing has a lot of features and settings that I don't understand. I just set it up like any other router and it works and works fine. If you are fed up with regular routers leaving you with dead zones I highly recommend this router, actually I recommend it anyway, it's great, just be patient with the setup and let it do its job.
