I use a lot of these cubes to store the fabric I sew. Awhile back in an effort to save some money, I made the mistake of thinking the ones at the dollar store would work. Not so, they were so thin and poorly made that the sides ripped and they lost their shape within a few weeks. I got exactly what I paid for: junk. These cubes, however, are a pleasant improvement. They are heavy and sturdy to the touch and the bottoms are thick enough that I no longer have to worry about my fabric falling through the bottom. The handles are sewn on well and don't tear when using them. I'm very pleased with the quality of these cubes and think the price is very fair for the quality. The set of 8 gives me all the cubes I need plus a couple extra for future use. I will be trying the extra cubes in my office and pantry. I anticipate them working extremely well.
