I don't understand why this sensor comes in bubble wrap as it is junk and useless. Nothing of value to protect! The user guide is actually a QR code that you need to scan to get instructions. Nowhere is it written that the required battery (special 3V CR123A) is not included. The instructions say to wake up the device for setup by pressing the reset button, after which the light will flash. There is no light anywhere in this block. After wasting my valuable time activating it, I decided to open it up to see if the battery came with a plastic cover that had to be removed. To open the sensor housing you need special tools, a Philips mini head and a mini flathead screwdriver. I was surprised to see that it didn't have a battery, but luckily I had needed a rare spare battery. The battery connector doesn't indicate which side is for the + and which side is for the - end of the battery, but that doesn't matter because after I plugged everything together with the battery in either position, the sensor wouldn't turn on. I've never gotten as far as actually connecting it to WiFi or testing if it notifies in the event of a flood. It was a waste of time. I bought this sensor because of the cheap price. I got what I paid for: shit!
