Review on 500GB Drive Inspiron E1505 E1705 by Carlos Abood

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A new heart for an old carโคโคโค๐Ÿ˜

I liked it, affordable, not the newest but it works! I bought this to replace a drive in a Dell Inspiron 1521 that previously had Windows Vista installed. A friend gave me a laptop and "Dr. Frankenstein" I tried to revive him! It did not work. ๐Ÿ˜But I'm a persistent, obsessive, crazy lover. I happened to have another laptop that had Windows 8 pre-installed and had been turned into a year-old paperweight due to a previous failed Windows 10 update/upgrade [a free beta offered online]. Tip: DO NOT use the free upgrade to Windows 10. Apparently Dell uses a similar drive in their Inspiron 3135 model! So what the hell, I thought: try to drive a 3135?! The excitement was palpable๐Ÿ˜ƒ I made it! I have made! And after 1 year he lives like a paperweight puppy! Reinstalling windows 10 from a new usb stick from microsoft which i tried to install almost a year ago with a factory installed 3135 hard drive that came with windows 8 installed almost a year ago resurrecting the inspy 3135 and thinking about it to throw it away whole and use it for parts. For a ride under $30, it was worth every penny! Oh, one more thing, if the service tag account number is no longer recognized by the PC manufacturer. You're alone. I expect my car to last 3 to 5 years with this upgrade.
