This chair is cute and functional, but it's more of a good place for a child than an adult. My mom is a petite woman (about 100 pounds or less) and that's still a bit small for her. Mom wanted a small, very comfortable office chair/stool with a footstool. The spaces she wants to use the chair in are limited, so the width of the base of the chair should stay around that width, but no more than 20 inches including the wheels. However, I don't want to place anything in a position where the chair could easily tip over and injure her. Part of this stool is not high enough to provide true lumbar support. which were included do not roll easily on my mother's floor but may not cause problems for others. Better wheels can be easily purchased to replace the ones provided if necessary, although this adds to the overall cost of the chair. The chair was basic enough to use. Assembled and supplied with all necessary tools and parts. However, I also set up this chair with another hydraulic/pneumatic lift that would lower the lowest seat height setting by about 2 inches. After we assembled this stool and realized how small the seat is, I wanted to try if another seating option (which I already had from another chair) would work, but it was impossible to separate the stool seat from the pneumatic (hydraulic) one ? ) to lift. I considered using a wrench but didn't want to mess up the airlift without a day's work. So I'd recommend doing some research on what you'll be doing if you're planning on setting up an airlift or seat before fully setting it up. If I had to do it again I would sit on the seat to try it out before putting it on the base. I think a chair base might work for what we need. A chair base like this but an inch or two wider, maybe even better. The ideal chair would be: The base of this style of chair is an inch or two wider in diameter than this one, with a round plush seat measuring 14-15 inches in diameter and 2.5-3 inches thick with a removable top. Plush backrest for lumbar support, with a seat height of 17 inches at the minimum setting and available in blue or black at a similarly affordable price. It's a good stool, however, if you're prepared for how small it really is, and would make a particularly good addition to a children's table.
