Filters arrived on time and this time was the best. The plumbers installed a new sink and faucets in the kitchen, and the filters were the "missing link" to the clean water supply. I decided to install a separate faucet for filtered water, so the plumber installed a tee on the cold water faucet and then ran the supply hose to the filters installed on the side of the cabinet just below the sink. He then routed the outlet hose to the adapter fitting that connected the 1/4 inch hose to the faucet. Sounds more complicated than it was, and now the faucet is providing us with great, clean drinking water with reduced fluoride levels. What a relief! The water will definitely taste good because, unlike our previous reverse osmosis unit, this filter doesn't filter out minerals like magnesium, which we consider an 'essential' mineral in our diet. Taste, wife said it tasted "like softened water". Well I did not agree but contacted the company for information. After I learned that water "definitely" can't taste salty, I still had my doubts, especially since the water often had a very slight "smoke". I even sent them photos of the installation following the company's instructions in the email. I got a new filter, after installing it I noticed two things: Firstly, the water was now crystal clear, every glass was full. And secondly, it even seemed to me that the water is tasty now. My wife agreed. HOORAY! Problem solved - although I have no idea what was "wrong" with the first filter. relationships with customers? Hey I give these guys a big 10 for answering all of my questions and taking the trouble to change the filter. Great filter - great company.
