Review on 🔌 Monoprice 115242 Blackbird 4K Pro HDCP Converter, HDMI 2.2 to 1.4, Black - Enhanced SEO by Andy Hearshman

This product essentially fixes a design flaw made by Bose in their Soundtouch 520 system. This meant my Samsung UHD player wasn't going through the unit and then through my 4K HDMI on my Visio. So I put it between the player and Bose, and voila, I can watch 2160p movies without having to use a separate 4K channel and optical cable to connect to Bose. Interestingly, when switching between DirecTV and UHD, Visio drops to 1080p when it returns to film. However, restarting Bose fixes everything. I don't know if the remaining minor issue is related to Visio, Bose or Samsung but my issue is 90% solved. BTW I assume this will work with 7.1 systems where you need a conversion to get the full Dolby Atmos experience. The optical cable has a maximum value of 5.1.
