Discard the leather washer. The glue just isn't where it should be. With a metal disc, this mount is phenomenal. This is by far the best mounting solution I've found for my phone. Follow the installation instructions and allow the mount and disc adhesive to "cure" before you decide it's not right for you. I did this both times and the leather drive installed onto the plastic iPhone case after it was cleaned and prepped. There was also a metal disc and after a couple of weeks I had no problems. I put the phone (with a metal washer) on the base off-road and it never fell off. Almost didn't move. I would buy it again in a heartbeat and bought it at full price with no discounts or promotions. This review is my opinion and experience, so take it or not.
