Some advantages include the fact that it is easier to capture selfies when the device is mounted on a tripod, that the button functions properly, and that the tripod may be used for activities other than taking pictures, such as viewing movies or engaging in video chats. Many disadvantages: To keep it simple, I'd prefer a tripod with a higher height. When you take it off your hand and you want to have greater confidence while you're at a height, there is no strap on your hand.
