I bought a size 10 for my very tall and very thin 9 year old son to use salmon fishing on the Canada Alaskan (Langara) border. Both jacket and pants are excellent quality with elasticated shoulder straps in the right places. The fit was perfect for my son - the sleeves are a bit longer but he prefers being able to cover his arms in cold weather. This was my son's 3rd year fishing for salmon but the last 2 years we have been fishing 500 miles south (Hakai) where the weather has been a bit warmer. To keep warm this year my son wore 4 layers of long underwear under his jacket and pants and then a pair of bibs over his pants. Next year I plan to repack them in warm weather but as he is unhappy and uninterested in fishing when he is shivering I will also be buying him a jacket and bib for VERY cold and wet weather.
