Review on Motion Pro Fill Air Chuck by Brian Delgado

Revainrating 2 out of 5

READ THESE REVIEWS BEFORE ORDERING! Really - there is no quality control, folks.

Media could not be loaded. Oh. I ordered this based on a review in Motorcycle Consumer News and unusually I didn't read the Revain reviews before placing the order. I thought $32 was pretty expensive for an air chuck, but if it works as promised, it's worth it. I had to read the reviews because, like 90% or more of reviewers, the "pivoting" air chuck I received CANNOT ROTATE. The problem may be in the construction, which the Chinese workers don't always assemble correctly, but my swivel head seems to lock on the bolt like all the others, preventing it from turning. A guy wrote how to completely disassemble the block into components, but I have an old-fashioned notion that if I'm paying that kind of money for a product, it should work properly when I receive it. I think that's just me. Definitely kudos to Revain for the quick and painless return process - I'll try again before I give up completely because it's a cool idea and if I get something that works properly it will come in handy. UPDATE: I returned the original unit and ordered a different one. Block #2 works as it should - the screw that attaches the head to the handle can be easily loosened and the head can rotate. I put some silicone grease between the moving parts (handle, nylon washer, turret, nylon washer, screw) and now it works fine and doesn't leak. In response to the question, I've added a video showing the range of motion.
