The main difference from cheap grills is that the heating element is built into the plate, so all the power goes directly to the meat, and the air is not heated first and then the plate itself. Therefore, on a cheap grill, you can "burn" the meat, but it will not be cooked, but the juice will simply flow out. In the same grill, the meat is cooked to welldone in 4 minutes, and 2.5 minutes is medium. I am completely satisfied with the grill.
