I had a "regular" hamburger tool, didn't know what it was so I gave it away. When I got tired of shredding packaged ground beef with a standard spatula and started searching, I knew I had given away what I needed. My search led to this one, so I decided to give it a try. Not efficient at all. For example, it takes forever to use this on a pound of ground beef. A spatula is much more useful. Then the bottom above it is slightly inclined, so you have to hold it at an angle so that the surface is completely flush with the pan. I give it away and buy the regular one again, which works effectively.
