I have now used this item for the activity I bought it for. I'm a cyclist who recently transitioned from a desert climate to a four-season climate, so I'm particularly sensitive to the cold. So far I've used the balaclava at around 40 degrees. My cruising speed can bring the wind chill down to 28 or less. So far my balaclava has kept my head and ears warm and comfortable.
