This unit replaces the old brass lock on Anderson's storm door. If it was 1/4 inch shorter it would be perfect. You will need to ensure adjustments are made to allow the lock to go deeper into the door if necessary. I tried to avoid work and fought against the division. Once I did the setup (details and instructions are attached) everything went smoothly. I had to drill new holes in the door as it was assembled slightly differently. There is a star deduction for the included padlock. Not very strong compared to Anderson's lock set and handle. I hope for a long good service of the device. By the way - be careful when installing a mortise lock. If the door closes and you don't have a handle, you'll get stuck on the outside and won't be able to open the door. My cat helped and ran and I kept the door locked and almost had to break one of my new windows to get in!
