Review on Elite Gourmet Americana Breakfast Coffeemaker by Erik Snyder

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great 3 in 1 pan + oven + coffee maker for car camping or hotel.

I was looking for an oven + cooking station that I can carry in the trunk of my car when I go camping and sleep in the car. I hesitated between Teal Elite Gourmet Americana 2-Slice and Red Nostalgia BST3RR. Both are small 3-in-1 devices. I bought both to compare as I felt there was not enough information on the product pages. First impressions: The Teal Americana is smaller and the coffee maker feels like cheap plastic. The Teal Americana only has a top and bottom burner, while the Red Americana has two heating elements in the same locations. At first glance, I really liked that the Red Americana skillet takes up the full size of the oven: splatters of bacon fat remain. in a frying pan while it lands on the body of a teal on another. After using Teal Americana while driving, the glass lid prevents bacon grease from splattering. Both are cute and playful. You want to do something to play with it. very fun toys. The red nostalgia buttons have a flat part: everyone knows where they point. The Teal Americana has round buttons with a slight indentation. I had to draw a white line on them to see where they were pointing. The Teal Americana coffee pot looked safer in a moving car due to its three walls, but in the end it's a red nostalgia carafe that holds tighter thanks to the pressure of the ball to prevent spills. The Teal Americana Oven Rack is attached to the door and moves slightly when the door is open. Red Americana is independent of the door and has two positions (one for Teal Americana). Measurements/Dimensions: Length (similar): 19" for Red Nostalgia versus 18.5" for Teal Americana. Hull Depth (Teal Americana is much smaller): 7.3 inches for Teal Americana Backspace (with water tank open): Similar Height: Similar. The volume of the pan: A big surprising difference: the large Red Nostalgia pan is very flat and flat. I was only able to pour 200 milliliters of water before it reached the lid. The lid also seemed very secure to me and felt very twisted (see image). Teal Americana is much smaller in surface area but has much more depth. I was able to Pour in 550 milliliters before you reach the mark on the lid. Teal holds nearly three times more liquid than Red. Coffee Pot: Similar: Red Nostalgia is graduated for 3 cups and holds 522ml and Teal Americana is graduated for 4 cups and holds 515ml. Capacity: I'm planning on using one for the car. Inverter powered camping from a portable power station like the MaxOak BlueTTi so I was particularly interested in Watts in action. I used a Welltop output power meter, a voltage and power meter that gives the instantaneous + min + max watts used for the measurement. All numbers rounded to 5. Coffee maker only: Teal Americana: 605W vs Red Nostalgia: 570W = 6% difference = similar. Top Griddle only: Teal Americana: 490W vs. Red Nostalgia: 850W = 75% difference. Nothing surprising here as I was expecting two heating elements to burn twice as much energy. Bottom oven + top pan together (no coffee maker): Teal Americana: 760W vs. Red Nostalgia: 740W = remarkably similar. Here's a big surprise. I repeated the test several times and indeed, when the four Red Nostalgia heaters were on I saw less power - 740 watts than when only the top two heaters were on - 850 watts. Bottom oven only: Teal Americana: 290 W vs. Red Nostalgia: 340 W = 17% difference All inclusive: coffee machine + bottom oven + top pan: Teal Americana: 1300 W vs. Red Nostalgia: 1250 W. Red Nostalgia keeps the surprise alive and uses less power when everything is on. Red Nostalgia reaches its maximum output of 1350W when the bottom oven is off and the coffee maker and top pot are on. I chose Teal Americana for my current inverter (600W) and its batteries. My Teal Americana fits into Trail Maker 40L, 22" women's, men's and heavy duty (black) holdalls, also purchased from Revain. I've already used it on a couple of day trips when we stayed in a hotel (there was no capacity limit) with a fridge and no kitchen. It was used every day and it was such a treat to have breakfast in the room (in bed?) and to be able to cook/heat up take away food. I recommend you to buy one of these 3-in-1 devices if you travel by car, camping or hotel.
