Review on Detroit Golf Co Putting Automatic by John Rocha

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's good but stuck at the top.

Automatic ball return would be nice if the ball didn't get stuck all the way up. The first thing I want to say about this is that if you happen to hit the hole in the hole, the ball will come back to you. If you miss it just a little and it lands in that crack, it'll get stuck, which is a bit of a shame. It's also a bit of an unfortunate design in my opinion. Most of the time, when you're studying, you get the ball and don't return it. The funny thing is that this area should return the ball to you if you miss, but it will get stuck. Also, the material for it is pretty good. The ball moves fairly smoothly along this surface. It's a good length so make sure to take your measurements to ensure you have enough space. Nice that there are length measurements. There are also two holes you can poke in for different tasks. There is also a place to store golf balls as well as a place to record points. I actually decided not to use this in the long run because it makes storage more difficult. The material/surface is lighter than other racquet parts I've seen. The quality isn't bad. The wooden part is good but the paintwork on it looks very poor but the part itself is solid and strong. It's tilted so the ball comes back to you, but if you hit the ball too far it just gets stuck and gets caught. If the ball goes in, just make sure you stop the ball when it comes back. He stops a ball, but when multiple balls fall, he knocks out the previous ball just for momentum. All in all, this would be a good mat if it wasn't for that huge flaw at the top that prevents the ball from falling and coming back. The material is nice and the dimensions are pretty cool (it looks like a soccer field). The painting may require some work. It folds and stores easily, but I'm not a fan of a stand that gets in the way.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Good, but not great
