I bought this for 2 reasons; My 14k gold engagement ring is now too small for me and I wanted something less expensive and more durable to wear when working on a car etc to keep my main ring from wearing out. I also wanted to try the 8mm size; My engagement ring is 6mm and I like both, but this one looks a little sturdier. So far there are no visible scratches on the ring and I haven't had any reactions to metal (although I'm not normally sensitive, some metals stain my skin different colors.
