I bought this tool because I used to use separate tools to disconnect fuel lines. I used to have trouble with lines, even with a tool designed for that. These pliers made the job a lot easier. I disconnected both fuel lines in my pickup truck in literally 3 seconds each. I measured the time. If you work with vehicles, they aren't a necessity, but they will definitely help. Especially with lines that don't smooth out even after using a regular tool. It just gives him extra help to make the work go more smoothly.
