Review on GE Lighting 40 Watt Halogen Faceted by Mark Grady

The packaging of this pack of bulbs states that each bulb will last 2 years if used 3 hours a day. This is absolutely not even remotely true! I bought them in bulk because they were hard to find after buying the first set. I noticed that they seem to fail quite often, so I started dating the new bulb with a marker when I replaced it. (see fig.). The bulb planted in January died in July. The evidence is positive. THEY LAST APPROX. 6 MONTHS. We have them in a 3-light fixture hanging over the bathroom vanity. We turn it on when we wash our hands, brush our teeth, or otherwise use the sink. It is doubtful that the light is only on 3 hours a day. They are very nice (hence 2 stars instead of one) but I will buy another type of bulb when this power runs out. To replace every 6 months too expensive!
