I returned it. When connected to my iPad Pro 9.7, the adapter could not read USB drives or memory card adapters. The iPad reports an error stating that it cannot supply enough power. Therefore, the ability to connect a flash drive to access its contents is not possible. To use this successfully, you need to use a USB hub to establish a connection between iPad and flash drive. it somehow defeats the small and portable nature of the iPad as a computer replacement. There is another cable/dongle option from Apple that has a second power adapter that might work better if you plug it into a power source (or battery), but at this point it's pretty clear that Apple wants that you connect everything. . iCloud. I was hoping to use this to edit a video of a flight on my iPad from a micro SD card from my drone, but that's not going to happen, I have to use my laptop instead.
