Review on 🧲 Noga MG61003 High-Performance Magnetic Base with Adjustable Features by Michael Hudson

I was torn about buying a Mitutoyo articulating arm for double the price as I was really fed up with the cheap magnetic support arms you can buy for $25-$40. I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. Overall, I'm glad I did this. I have never owned a Noga product but this one is well made. The processing is very good and the results when measuring the ring and pinion play with the Starrett dial gauge were very reproducible. In general I am very satisfied with the product. However, the advertised magnetic strength of the magnetic base is not what I expected with such a seemingly high strength number. It serves its purpose perfectly with reproducible results, which is what matters in the end, however I was a bit disappointed with the holding power of the magnetic base in relation to the advertised strength value.
