ICZI USB C Hub on computer and accessories

Okay, let's get rid of extra ports, 4K HDMI, VGA, Type C Power Delivery, Audio Port, RJ-45 Ethernet, 4 USB Ports, SD/TF card reader. Quite a lot of ports for such a small USB C hub. The hub is 5 3/4 inches long and the USB cable is 6 inches long, making it very compact and easy to store in your book bag or computer bag. The hub is made of polished aluminum and the cable is made of a very durable rubberized material. I don't think the cable connector will break in use as the cable is short enough not to cause any problems. I slightly scratched the end with the SD/Micro SD connectors (it shows better in the photos), but I will not remove the sprockets. Functionally, this is a great addition to my Acer laptop. with 3 USB ports but they are all 2.0 and if more than two are used there is no room for a third. This solves that problem and then some others. When connected to a computer, a very small white LED appears next to the three USB 3 ports. I tried to take a picture but I couldn't get the light out. This is a VERY small pinhole LED, which I find very good. Ok functionality, 4 USB ports are split into 2 USB 2.0 and 2 USB 3.0 working at normal performance. The headphone jack works well. The two card readers work without any slowdown compared to others I've had. I used the HDMI connection to stream a movie to my living room TV and it worked VERY well with no hiccups or lag. The LAN connection was connected directly to my home network without any problems. So if the port on my laptop ever went down, I would have a very reliable backup. The only other port I was NOT able to test was the VGA port as I have no way of testing it. So I ran all four USB ports with flash drives, hooked up a LAN and used the HDMI port and had very few issues, it does get a bit warm but I wouldn't consider that a problem. If you ask me what the negative might be, I would think that this port might draw a bit of power if I had a couple of external hard drives plugged in since it's the only source from the USB-C port that comes with your computer connected, but other than that I can't find any faults with this hub and I really enjoy using it. I would recommend it to people who travel a lot and need the extra ports this hub offers.

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • I don't really like it, everything is fine
