I have recently purchased several mini fans and this is my first neck fan. What I love about it is that you can actually direct the cooling effect at your face from two sides - hands-free. Other mini fans only have one fan head and will hit you right in the face if you wear them on a cord or hold them in your hands. You can also set it up to blow cool air around different areas of your face. You can raise one fan head and lower the other, etc. The controls for this are on the back. These are small, recessed controls, which is a good thing as you're less likely to hit them and turn them on or off accidentally. But it also makes them hard to spot by the neck. I found it easiest to turn on the buttons, set the right level, and then put the fan around my neck. One of the buttons controls the fan with 3 speeds and the other controls the backlight with 2 color options. I doubt I use light much, but I think the kids will love it. I bought a pink fan thinking it would be light and fun for Florida. This is a soft pink chewing gum. Maybe it looks too childish. The instructions say it comes with an aromatherapy sachet. Not sure what it is because there was no package in my box. That's why I gave it a star. Nice fan!
