I firmly believe that good makeup brushes don't have to cost a fortune. However, I also feel like I have realistic expectations when using cheaper brushes. I don't spend $10 on a set of brushes and then leave a scathing review because they don't perform like expensive high quality brushes. Other than that, this is a solid brush set. I've been using them for about a month and have already washed them several times, so this isn't a finished review. First, they appear to be really well made. I didn't feel any fallout at all. This is often a problem with cheaper brushes. and for me is a deal breaker. I refuse to use brushes that shed. To be honest I can't say I've seen a single broken bristle while using these brushes. As I said, I've washed them several times in a motor washer with a rotating brush. Even after vigorously wringing out to clean, they remain perfectly intact. In addition, the handles are secure. I've had to re-tap other brands of brushes because the handles fell out of the metal tips, but I didn't even notice any of the telltale wobble that precedes the handle falling out. I am very impressed with the quality and construction of these brushes. There is also a brush for almost every occasion. This set contains such a wide variety of eye, lip and face brushes that everyone can easily get by with just one set. For those who like to use multiple eyeshadows, there are more than enough brushes that can be used for every shade and application. There are also some face brushes, which is good because I have another one for powder, blush, highlighter, bronzer, etc. Finally, the performance of these brushes is pretty good. They are both dense and very soft. The eye brushes are great and I find they pick up a lot of product and their application is precise. The face brushes are good too, but I feel like the largest powder brush isn't thick enough to suit my personal preference. It's a passable brush, but I still often use my old favorite powder brush rather than this one. However, a quality set of this size at this price is a dream come true and the fact that there is only one brush that I don't really like confirms my deal. I really recommend this set to everyone.
