This is both a PRODUCT RECOMMENDATION and a PRODUCT WARNING. I used to buy an Atolla USB hub with the ability to disable individual ports. . ATOLLA has/is not working properly. Running one of the individual Atolla USB hub switches to isolate a specific USB port froze my entire Win 10 OS in an endless loop, the only fix was to restart the computer. out.works perfectly The ability to disable an individual hub port is important so that the disabled port cannot be detected by malware. This means that malware cannot see (and therefore cannot modify or damage) USB files located behind the disabled port. IMPORTANT because I write my daily backup on a USB stick. I have fully tested Apanage Hub. Apanage's USB hub port disable feature works.
