ABSOLUTELY GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. This company is the epitome of commitment

UPDATE FEBRUARY 5TH: I was completely blown away by this company's commitment to solving this problem with grace, diplomacy, care and urgency. . The problem was in the cable. They immediately sent me not one but TWO brand new cables. Replacing the original cable with one of the new ones completely solved the problem and the hard drive hasn't turned off since, even though I've tried everything to turn it off. I RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AND ITS PRODUCTS. In my experience they have done EVERYTHING right over the last two weeks and provided an absolute blueprint of how any business should treat their customers. It is clear beyond any reasonable doubt that they stand behind the products they sell and do everything they can to ensure you, the buyer, are satisfied. I never dreamed that everything would be resolved like this and I couldn't be happier. You have earned a customer for life. UPDATE: The company saw my review and contacted me immediately. Extremely determined to help at any cost and rectify the situation. Excellent customer service from them and I am working with them on solutions. I assume that after various tests this will be positively resolved and updated accordingly. So at this point I can say that this company knows what they are doing and how to treat the customer. This is very important in my book. I expected incredible durability, reliability and endurance from an SSD in this price range. Two hits and the score is full. Waiting for the inevitable third blow. Within a month of using this drive, it started shutting down non-stop without provocation. It spends most of its life on my workbench, protected from any interference, and yet it keeps turning off while editing in Lightroom. It's annoying. I'm guessing the cable is pure junk because if you look at how the drive connection sits it's clear it's flimsy at best. it is not a narrow castle. In addition to the occasional ghostly dismounting of just touching the cord with my hand, when I reach my phone it dismounts. Unbelievable. I can't believe the 1200 is buying such crappy attention for something as simple as a cable. On the positive side, it couldn't be unmounted and then remounted. in other words, he did not die. A WHILE. I back up to BackBlaze all the time because I know from my experience with every other external hard drive manufacturer (a particular tutorial cost me $2500 to recover my data) that one day this one will fail. With SSD storage prices falling rapidly and the obviously crappy durability of all, I'd consider buying the cheapest you can find and investing in a few redundant backups. That way, if the drive fails (and it will), you've only got a few hundred left to rebuild your reserves on a new crappy drive.
