Great diffusers! We bought a summer house last year and the dials on the stove work to the bare minimum but not enough for cooking. As a result, everything cooks too quickly and/or burns. I tried to think how to solve the problem but to no avail. I never knew diffusers existed but I looked up a recipe in my cookbook and they recommended using a diffuser when making sauces and sauces to keep them from burning. These diffusers keep the pots above the grate on the stove and we no longer have problems. They're even good for espresso pots (those of you with burnt espresso pot handles will understand and benefit from this). They are strong and do the job perfectly!
