I ordered these last month after my plum tree was ripe so I could make skin out of the pulp after boiling plums for jelly . Worked beautifully. There's no warping, as some have noted, and they clean up well. I lightly brushed each leaf with grapeseed oil (you can use any oil you like) and then made the skin with just 2 ingredients - fruit and honey. No sticking! Using these sheets is much easier, the skin becomes more even and uses less energy than using the oven. I wish I had bought these wipes years ago when I first got my dehydrator. Tips for use: 1. Spray with a very thin layer of oil to prevent sticking. You can run without oil, but I didn't want to tempt fate2. Cut the finished product with a pizza cutter. I cut each sheet into 6 rolls. I cut them in half and them in thirds.3. Place each wedge on wax paper (why waste expensive parchment when wax paper does the job well). Roll them from the wide end to the narrow end and tie them together with a spiral binding, small ribbon, or twine. I save strings so this was the cheapest and easiest for me.4. Some fruit peel recipes are stickier than others. I made most of my skin from just fruit pulp and homemade pulp, but I had a batch of skin that I made from plum pulp, grape-flavored jelly (for a change), and honey. They felt sticky even after they were done, so I used my clean hands and dusted them with some powdered sugar so they didn't stick to our fingers after unwrapping them. Honey works and tastes way better than sugar. It also offers better consistency.6. Have fun and don't be afraid to experiment. I made a plain peach and a plain plum using only honey as the sweetener. I also made a peach with coconut flakes. I have a lot of jello in my pantry, and since some of the peaches I got didn't taste very good (hey, beggars can't decide), I made a batch each with raspberry jelly and peach jelly -O. They were all divine. If using Jell-O, use the same amount of pulp as your box in water. EXAMPLE: I used 4 cups of crushed peaches per large box of jelly because the large box required 2 cups of boiling water and 2 cups of cold water. I heated the fruit and mixed it in Jell-O.7. Place the fruit rolls in ziplock bags to store in the cupboard for up to 2 months. I freeze them in portions because I make so much at once when making jelly. The packet only takes a few minutes to thaw, then it's ready to be stored in the cupboard.*** If you ever decide to dehydrate your apples, try dusting them with Jell-O Dry Powder for Dried Caramel Apples. They take longer to dry because I think Jell-O releases more juice, but they are divine. I'm giving them away for Christmas and everyone loves them.
