The Polk Omni P1 sounds great when I connect it to my receiver. I've tried several other Hi-Fi music streamers and the Polk's sound quality is the best. The downside is the software and the lack of an on/off switch. I noticed that the day after installing Omni my VOIP was crashing badly. The only thing I changed on my network is Omni. I unplugged the power and my VOIP phone worked normally again. Obviously it consumes bandwidth even when not in use. Another downside is the Polk DTS software. It freezes intermittently on my Android tablet, missing some basic functionality and disconnecting from the firmware update app, which is weird. It's also not possible to switch from my 5.0 network to a 2.4 network connection without resetting the settings and going through the whole setup process again. With some software updates and a power team, this player will be great. I bought the P1 for $149 so it wasn't a bad deal and I'll keep it for myself. I would just like to see Polk heavily tweak the software.
