I think the Bone Tie 3 was the most effective phone holder I've tried so far. The elastic snaps right around the gooseneck. The mount is compact and fits in the small amount of space it's allotted, and my phone hasn't bounced once after a season on my usual 20-mile loop, which has some bumpy sections. I used someone else's cell phone holder for the attachment. first time this past fall when my brand new phone crashed and rolled on the gravel. So I'll live with a deep scratch in the middle of my face for the next few years. This holder has kept my phone in excellent condition for my next trips. phone, but I wish it would work a little better on my bike's gooseneck - little did I know the tube was anything but round in cross-section. The cell phone always tilts to the side when driving and I have to straighten it all the time. Now I understand that this is the only point of contact that is quite unstable. The handlebar is round, but the mount doesn't work that way. When I want to stop and take a picture, I find it inconvenient to quickly pull out and reinsert the phone without accidentally pressing the buttons or touching the screen. This can lead to all sorts of unwanted actions, e.g. B. to stop tracking my trip through my phone or start an advisor. If I accept it slowly and carefully, then everything will be fine. I understand that this may be the price I have to pay for such a holder.
