My 4 year old daughter didn't get her ears pierced until she was 5 months old and this is the third pair of earrings I have had to buy. She kept losing her earring. I only use her surgical steel earrings, and sometimes it's hard to find nice ones. Last time we found beautiful earrings at Sally's. This time, she lost an earring during the pandemic — so she searched and searched the internet for gorgeous surgical steel earrings — finally deciding to add "with screw backs." So far, so good. The back was a bit rough for me to take the earrings off first to even fit them in her ears. It didn't discourage me - it's a good sign that once she puts them on they will stay! I used a rubber can opener (like the ones you use for stuck lids). It was just the grip I needed and the back came off with no problem. My next problem was simply my poor eyesight and lack of coordination to align and rotate the small back-shaped ball on the earring. But my son was able to help without any problems. My daughter loves them! You are perfect!
