This mount is very easy to install. My TV is already installed. I took it off the wall. Remove the TV mounts from the TV, place the soundbar mounts in the vesa holes and replace the TV mounts with the soundbar mount and screw in place with the new screws that come with the soundbar mount. I attached the soundbar and centered it on the TV before tightening all the screws on the soundbar bracket. Used washers on the bottom holes of the TV mount since I installed the soundbar on top of the TV. The top bracket perfectly hid the power and optical cables. The manual doesn't list any top mounting options, but it works! And my wife loved it, all cables were hidden. I literally did it in about 15 minutes, connecting a soundbar to a TV for the first time, and I work in an office, not as a contractor making a living from it. Hope that helps. Vizio TV and sound bar.
