I live in Minnesota. We get a lot of snow and 4-6 months out of the year we just walk outside in boots. I bought these boots in the spring to replace a pair my child had outgrown, knowing they would outgrow them before next winter. They had decent reviews and the price was good. When I first received them I was satisfied: they fit well, my child said they were comfortable and they seemed to get warm. But then my kid carried them outside to play in the snow. The rubber part of the boot is fine, but the fabric part that runs from the ankle to the calf soaks up water like a sponge and gets my kid's feet wet! Waterproof and no lining at all! When my child wears these boots, I have to put their feet in plastic bags before putting the boots on so their feet don't get wet and get frostbite! When he takes them off I have to put a hair dryer inside to dry them! Maybe these boots are good in climates where there's no more than 2-3 inches of snow, but in Minnesota where there's a lot of snow and kids spend a lot of time playing in the snow, these boots are TERRIBLE. I won't even give them away, they will go in the trash once the snow melts. God forbid anyone else gets stuck in those TERRIBLE shoes! This product doesn't even deserve one star, it deserves ZERO stars!
