The name says it all. I like that the filter can be submerged in water. There is also the option of trapping air along with filtered water. The air valve can be adjusted so that very little air gets into the water - as much as with my air stone. Does that make the air stone obsolete and obsolete? Maybe, but I'll keep using it. [Please note that the user manual does not state that this product is a replacement for the air stone. Perhaps consensus can be reached as more users write reviews.] I would also like to add that the instruction manual is easy to understand. Conclusion: I am very impressed with this filter pump. Edit: After using the filter for a few weeks, I noticed that the air bubble feature stopped working. As a result, no more air bubbles get out of the diving filter into the water. The filter itself still works perfectly - no problem there, but I would no longer consider this filter as a replacement for an air stone.
