Attention MAC OS users! . Having bought this MFP, I encountered the following critical problem: when scanning documents, the image quality is limited to a maximum of 300 dpi, while the 600 dpi declared by the manufacturer are not even displayed for selection. I use Macbook Air with Mac OS Catalina, version 102022.6. The problem is equally manifested both in the HP SMART application (downloaded from the Apple Store and installed instead of drivers), and when scanning through MAC applications. The installation of the HP Easy Scan application (HP universal software for scanning on its devices) did not help either, the MFP does not want to scan above 300 dpi. The option of connecting the MFP to a computer, via USB wire or WI-FI, does not change anything. At the same time, having installed the MFP on a computer with Windows 10, I made sure that the 600 dpi option is available for selection when scanning and everything works correctly. Having spent several days in vain trying to get the device to make friends with MacOS and start scanning at the 600 dpi promised by the manufacturer, I turned to HP technical support. In the course of a long correspondence (I was offered a variety of solutions to the issue, ranging from installing drivers from the Samsung M2070 to flashing the printer from Windows, followed by resetting the printing system on my Mac and installing the printer software again. All this was done, but to no avail As a result, the HP support service effectively solved my problem by competent self-elimination "in the classic way". I quote verbatim the last answer I received: "If all these steps did not help you, then please contact Apple". Thus, regarding this MFP, HP could not ensure its correct operation under MAC OS, and specifically scanning in the declared quality of 600 dpi, sending dissatisfied users to deal with Apple on their own! in terms of smooth operation.
