This monkey balance toy is a great idea for kids to introduce numbers and the concept of weight. This is a potentially serious hazard for children. I bought this as a birthday present for my 4 year old. In less than 2 weeks of play he managed to crack one of the numbers (see attached photo). These figures aren't that difficult to disassemble since not much glue is used to hold the two pieces together. As you can see, there are 5 metal balls in the number 7 in my photo. The same type of balls are used in mechanical bearings. Other numbers are probably similar: the larger the number, the more weight it contains (more metal balls). As you can imagine, clueless children can easily swallow these bullets. This is very dangerous for her. I'm glad I was able to retrieve all 5 balls before my son starts playing with them again. Please note that there are many other Revain brands/sellers that sell the same toy product and they may all have the same design.
