I have used this camera several times a week since I received it 6 months ago. I practiced using all the functions. I wanted this particular camera mainly because of the price and the zoom range that I can't get with my phone's camera. This is a good-sized camera, but focusing is often difficult. 1. I will never buy a camera without a viewfinder again. Forget about taking photos in the sun without them. You literally shoot blind with a fixed screen that shows nothing but glare. I ordered a screen blind to see if that would help with that. 2. Sometimes he finds it difficult to focus on close objects. It's frustrating when you know you can take the same picture in a second with your phone's camera. I've gotten some good shots after a lot of trial and error, but I can't recommend this or any other camera without a viewfinder. Also, many zoom shots get blurry no matter how still I hold the camera. A tripod isn't something you want to carry around. Posted 7/17/21: I bought an anti-glare cover specifically for this camera model and it didn't help much. Nikon: There's no reason why a camera screen shouldn't perform as well as a phone screen! Either leave the viewfinder on the camera or fix the screen.
