I haven't used this unit much but it seems to work fine. We use it on several different Macs with OBS, so I haven't bothered with the Pyle burning software (which even exists for Macs). My main criticism of the product description is that this is absolutely NOT a recorder. This is an HDMI pass-through video capture device. That's all. All recording must be done with another device (laptop or desktop computer, HDMI recorder, etc.). So if you're looking for an HDMI I/O with internal recording capability, this isn't it.
