I have two cats, one is older and the other doesn't like to jump and likes to get up on the bed. These pet ladders are a great solution. Assembly was very easy; looks like one of those foldable fabric storage bags. The stair treads are fabric-covered corrugated plastic that can be removed for washing or to use the inside of the stair for storage. They appear to be quite hardy and are advertised as pets weighing up to 50 pounds. When using weights (and watching cats) it seems like a 20kg pet doesn't bother me at all. Because of the way they are set up, they are not very stable to easily move around the house. It's basically set and stays put, especially when you start stowing things on the stairs anyway. I use it to store extra cat toys and some cat accessories like brushes, clippers, cloths and the like. A great way to further reduce clutter and utilize under stair space. If you need to roll them up, they just fold up and store away, which is great. However, keep in mind that when using warehouses, you will need to find another place to store items.
