Review on Hamilton Beach 67601A Extractor Electric by Marisa Sath

Works REALLY well. I'm basing this on a few things: 1. I got at least 1/4 cup of juice from a small orange that was about my age, 2. The pulp of the carrot, beet, and celery is so dry that it almost as is sawdust. I'll only talk about what came to my mind as I used it constantly on Saturday, Sunday and today. I bought a lot of fruit and veg to stock the juice in the freezer. SOUND: Not as loud as I expected based on some reviews. It's loud enough that I don't want to use it after someone in my apartment has gone to bed, but not so loud that I don't use it for a few minutes during that time. I also find that putting a soft cloth underneath her calms her down a bit. PERFORMANCE: A few months ago I had another (used) juicer with an 800w motor. This squeezes out the juice faster and leaves a much drier pulp. When I first made carrot and celery juice together, I wanted to save some of the pulp for added fiber. This stuff was so dry I didn't even bother. I'll deal with fiberglass later when I have more time. CLEANING: I accepted the suggestion of putting a plastic bag in the pulp container so I don't even have to rinse it out. Of the other parts, the only one that took some time to clean was the mesh bowl. The included cleaning brush is very helpful. Now I know that if I have to soak the mesh bowl in very warm and slightly soapy water while rinsing other things, then it's much easier to clean. I didn't even put the parts in the dishwasher. SIZE: This juicer, like all the other juicers I've reviewed, is big enough for me to move things around in my tiny kitchen. But I find it fits nicely in the corner with my small coffee pot. If I didn't use it that often it would be light enough that I could keep it on the top shelf or somewhere else on the side. I am more than happy with this juicer. I hope to one day be able to afford a chew device but this is perfect for my current needs.
