My 6 month old grandson plays in it (without water) with his toys and it's great to use as a bath too. He needs some support when sitting and can stabilize himself by holding on to one side while the raised part at the bottom prevents him from sliding forward. I deducted a star because the free air pump was too much work for us. We bought a replacement (Electric Air Pump for Inflatable Pool Toys - Heavy Duty Fast Fill Air Mattress Inflator Pump for 3 Jet Air Mattress 320W 110VAC 1.6psi 26cf airflow per minute) which worked much more efficiently. Otherwise this is a 5 star product!
