That little tab is a big hassle. This small tab prevents the top basket from falling off the rails when you pull it out to fill/empty the DW. It's such a harmless detail that if it fails during a wash and falls off, you won't notice until you pull out the shelf and BAM! the front of the rack falls with all the contents. Luckily I've never had a dishwasher disaster and have to be careful pulling the rack out until the pull tab is replaced. I could claim it under warranty, but the lengthy process isn't worth the few bucks spent on a replacement tab, which luckily is available from Revain and usually ships within a day or two. Maybe one day one of the manufacturers will change the design of this tab, but for now when they wear out I will replace them. I could use a plain stainless steel nut and bolt, but that would be unsightly.
