This device acts as a mini-dock with USB ports, memory card slot and visual output over HDMI and VGA. It is important to note that this product also has an additional Ethernet port. Most modern laptops don't have an Ethernet port; Instead, they all rely solely on WiFi. As a result, I can only sigh when I need an ethernet connection. My WiFi connection at home is strong but drops regularly when I connect to a VPN. I need to connect to my company laptop via VPN, so I need a reliable internet connection. Since my laptop doesn't have an ethernet port, the ethernet port on this hub is very handy. This USB hub is small and light, making it easy to carry. It works flawlessly with my 2021 Dell laptop. I tried plugging in both the SD card and the hard drive and it read both. The VGA connector and the USB-C display port are also used for the video connection. All in all, I can connect ten different devices at the same time and when needed, easily disconnect all ten devices without disconnecting them one by one, which is very useful when I need to move my laptop.
