Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Columbia Redmond Women's Trail Shoe by Daryl Fitch

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Buy it! good for women

I'm not getting paid to write this or take a poll, I'm only writing because I love shoes so much and hope to help someone who is indecisive like me. I ordered these and a few other brands on a whim for a trip west to Grand Teton and Yellowstone and they are vastly superior to others. I wanted the shoe to fit like a tennis shoe, be relatively flexible, support the arch of the foot and most importantly have a good grip on the sole. We walked a few miles each day and it was PERFECT. Fit: As mentioned in other reviews, DO NOT order half a size larger. I figured I'd wear them with thicker socks, but even with hiking socks, my normal size would be perfect (I didn't change them because we're leaving the next day, so if you really want room to maneuver the sock, a half size is also suitable). Comfort: That really convinced me. I wore them all day without blisters! I sometimes tend to drag them onto the soles of my feet when I'm sweating and my socks aren't rubbing properly. Even after 10+ hours of walking on sand, rocks and mud I didn't get any. Bow support is good too. My arches are quite tall and I was comfortable, but I've seen some people want to add an insole for extra support. Clutch: Amazing! It was comfortable for me to walk in it and even walk on the mountain slope. They don't have enough ankle support being a lower shoe, but they are flexible and have a great tread on the bottom - I felt very "controlled" jumping over and over slippery rocks. Waterproof: I can't confirm how waterproof they are because I haven't been in the water. Overall this is a great little hiking shoe. The price is lower than the competition and it exceeded my performance expectations. You will not regret the purchase!
