I actually use it as a cosmetic bag for my handbag, not as a pen case. I couldn't find any cosmetic bags online that were the right size and shape, with a lid that opens and a flat bottom to put on a bathroom counter. I love the elastic divider that can be used to store makeup brushes instead of pens. I also like the little zippered and velcro pockets in the lid to separate my makeup. The lining feels waterproof or at least water-repellent. He was gone long enough to see if the lining got dirty. My only complaint is that the inner lining is ugly blue. There was no such color in advertising.
